Ann, Give to Change donor
Having completed a bachelor degree, graduate diploma and master qualification, no one is more aware of the importance and value of education than Curtin University staff member, Ann.
"I am the first in my family to get a tertiary education so I know from personal experience how important it is, and I wanted to support others to experience the same benefits," says Ann.
She started contributing to the Give to Change program over three years ago, making regular contributions which are matched dollar-for-dollar by the University to selected initiatives.
One of those initiatives is the Staff-Funded Scholarship Fund, which provides fully-funded scholarships to students who might otherwise struggle to fund their studies through part-time work or family assistance.
"I am conscious that I didn't have to fund my studies to the same extent as today's students, so felt I should give back."
